![2 A 28 MARCH, 1889. II, The Clerk read the Notice calling the meeting and the Requisition as follows: METROPOLIS MANAGEMENT ACTS. Sir, I beg to give you notice that, pursuant to a requisition of which I annex a copy, a Special Meeting of the Vestry of this Hamlet, will be holden at the Vestry Hall, Ban croft Road, Mile End Road, on Thursday, March 28th, 1889, at Six o'clock in the Evening precisely, for the fol lowing special purpose, viz.: To take into consideration the matter mentioned in the said requisition. I am, Sir, Your obedient servant, (Signed) MILLNER JUTSUM, Clerk to the Vestry. [Copy.] We, members of the Mile End Old Town Vestry, hereby request the Clerk to call a Special Meeting of the Vestry, to take into consideration the informal vote taken in connection with Brunswick Place. Such meeting to be called on Thursday next, 28th inst., at Six o'clock in the Evening. (Signed) THOMAS BROWNING, T. BANDEY, W. J. NAY, THOMAS RICHARDSON, HENRY W. ROBERTS, JOSEPH CADE, W. OCKELFORD, EDWIN H. KERWIN, WILLIAM CHANDLER, OWEN W. PEACOCK. March 20th, 1889. The Chairman called upon the Clerk to give his opinion with regard to what could legally be done at this meeting. The Clerk stated that he had come to the conclusion— That the meeting had no power to alter, vary, or rescind anything done at the last meeting, as in order to do anything ot that kind it must be clearly stated, whereas the requisition to call the meeting did not state definitely anything which was proposed to be done.
