WORTHINGTON, j It will be perceived j hat some of the officers elected at this time were practitioners in Alexandria, so that it is evident that the profession of the whole District was not only included in the operation of the law, but took part in the affairs of the Societ}\ The following form for the certificate of license, in Latin, to be printed on parchment, and given to such practitioners of the District of Columbia as should from time to time be found qualified to practice the healing art by the Board of Examiners of the Society, was agreed upon and ordered to be engraved on a plate 13 by 15 inches: Prases et Qucesitorcs Societalis Medicorum in Columbia1.
