Of the 22 males who died under the age of 45 years, 13 died in hospital, and of the I4 females who died under the age of 45 years, 5 died in hospital, a total of 18 deaths in hospital out of a total number of 36 deaths under the age of 45 years. Oyer the age of 45 years larger numbers were involved a.nd the deaths in hospital though numerically larger are a much lower percentage of the total deaths. Of the 15O males over the age of 45 years who died during the ye3.r 39 died in hospital, and of thel32 female deaths in these older a,ge groups 36 occurred in hospital.
