Within this age range approximately :— 25 per cent. have incomes under {450 a year. a 50 per cent. have incomes under {700 a year. 75 per cent. have incomes under {1,100 a year. 4 \ 12. The above figures show that very few dentists make large incomes, that most dentists are making net incomes of less than enough to meet minimum middle-class expenditure, and that a quarter of the profession of necessity live below this standard. “Se 13.
