![Continuing much in the fame State, the foon after went to London, but by the Ad- wice of the Phyfician fhe confulted, the re- turned as foon as poflible into the Country, where fhe died about two Months after ; at which Time I was called, for the Sake of in- fpecting the Caufe and Origin of the Difeafe. The whole Lungs were full of {mall ma- turated Glands, and appear’d much like the Lungs of the meafly Sow before mention’d, ibut the larger Branches of the Windpipe wwere yet free from Pus, whence no purulent Spitting accompanied this Difeafe ; I found the Liver whole and found, but the Mefen- tery was {prinkled with morbid Glands, of which feveral were maturated. Iwas willing to add this Cafe to the reft, to fhew, that there is little Help to be ex- pected from this or any other Method, when the Patient is reduced to thefe Extremities. Mf faid before, that the larger Branches of the Windpipe were free from Pus; for I faw, that the zlandular Tumors arofe from tthe Glands fituated in the fmall Branches of the Windpipe; for wherever the Branches. of the Afpera Arteria [Windpipe] grew fo mall as not to be feen by the naked Eye, there I found them always interfected by a ‘Globule of purulent Matter.
