Description
The second in a six-part series following the work of 'bionic vet' Noel Fitzpatrick. At his multi-million pound centre in Surrey, Noel is devising and using new surgical techniques to save and imporve the lives of thousands of pets from all over the country. He invents various kinds of prostheses to help animals with physically disabling conditions. One-year-old Labrador Charlie has a tumour in his front leg; Fitzpatrick replaces the bone with a custom-made metal implant. Border Collie, Sasha, gets a new bionic knee and senior surgeon Michael Hamilton has to operate on Zippy the chinchilla's tiny broken arm.
