He wishes to return to his country. ‘The Prince d’Eckmuhl (Davoust) has already made representations on his behalf to Louis, and a similar action has been taken by Marshal Groudry. He is ready to be taken prisoner to the Abbaye, but relies on his Majesty’s sense of justice and clemency. x” Genl.
