![every three or four hours, of boiled or peptonised milk, at tepid temperature—(«) plain; QS) with an equal quantity of lime water; (c) with ni^xx-lx saccharated solution of lime B.P. ; (f/) with a little pure arrowroot, or an arrowroot biscuit; (e) with thoroughly-soaked or boiled bread; (/) if indicated, with 2 fl.- drachms or more of brandy. At once, in water. (4) 1^ Pulveris Ehei Compositi gr. xxx-lx. At once. (5) For a child—1^ Ehei Eadicis gr. i-iii, Sodii lUcarbonatis gr. ii, Hydrargyri cum Greta gr, ss-i, Zingiberis gr. ss. At once. (6) In gouty enteritis—(«) Ehei Eadicis gr. V, Ipecacuanhse Eadicis gr. ss, Magnesise Ponderosa- gr. v, Potassii Bicarbonatis gr. xv, Sodii Bicarbonatis gr. v, Ammonii Carbonatis gr. iv, Aqua^ Mentha^ Piperitaj si. At first, three times a day, three hours after meals; then smaller doses and less frequently, according to result. (/>) 1^ Hydrargyri Subchloridi gr. i. [U.S.P. 1^ Hydrargyri Chloridi Mitis gr. i.] At once, (c) 1^ Pilulte Hydrargyri gr. v. [U.S.P. 1^ Masste Hydrargyri gr. ii.] At bedtime, repeatedly. (</) 5^ Piluhe Hydrargyri Subchloridi Compositie gr. v. [U.S.P. IJ: Hydrargyri Chloridi Mitis gr. i, Antimonii Sulphurati gr. i, Guaiaci Eesina? gr. ii.] Every evening or every second evening for a week or more.— Alkaline intestinal astringents and sedatives (p. 499): (1) Lime Water; to be added to milk.
