Since the germ of wheat occupies only about 1:°5% of the whole grain, but contains by far the greater concentration of vitamins, Bemax, made from germ alone, is a highly active vitamin food. Thus Bemax is not only many times richer in vitamin B, than such recognised sources as wholemeal bread, malt and bran, but actually contains sixty times as much as the best dairy milk. But Bemax is more than a vitamin addition, it is a valuable supplement to the usual daily food, because it contains as much protein as beef and more protein than eggs or fish, less starch than other cereal foods, valuable natural minerals and a smaller fibre content than most foods. Its moisture content is so low (only 5%) that the daily tablespoon- ful of Bemax is a tablespoonful of food and not a small proportion of food in a large proportion of water.
