    CHAPTER II.—Vital Statistics. (Including Population and Emigration and Immigration.) 3. The report deals with Ihe plains districts of the province, the population of „ ■ which, according to the Census of 1931, was 7,927,953 SanmU'CenMs flgwss. . (4,187,085 males and 3,740,808 females). As in previous years, the birth and death-rates have been calculated on the Census population of 1931 without taking into consideration the growth of population during the year. The appended table, drawn up in accordance with the orders of Government, shows the corrected population of each district under registration and indicates what the birth and death-rates would have been had they been calculated on the corrected population:— Table * D 5 for the year 1933.
