Sm. 8vo, First Eprrion, printed in italic type, brown morocco extra, gilt edges, £3 3s. This appears to be the First Book printed at OBER- UrseEL, a town at the foot of the Taunus mountains. The author, Joachim Westphalus, was an ardent defender of the Lutheran doctrines in opposition to those of Calvin. WICELIUS (Georgius), Epistolarum quae inter aliquot Centurias iudebantur partim profuturee Theologicarum literarum studiosis, partim innocentis famam adversus Sycophantiam defensure, Libri Quatuor. Lipsie, excude- bat Nicolaus Vuolrab. 1587. Sm. 4to, contemporary mottled calf gilt, with the ARMS OF ANTOINE BARILLON DE Morancis in gilt on sides, and his monogram in five panels on the back, £2 2s. YEAR BOOKS of the reigns of Edward III and Edward IV. Manuscript of the xvi century written upon 148 leaves of paper. Folio, in old calf binding, with the arms of Thomas Grey, 2nd Earl of Stamford (1654-1720), in gold on the sides, £10 10s. This manuscript would appear to be notes of an Elizabethan law student compiled from the Year Books and other sources. It includes cases for the years 1-22 & 40-50 Edward III and 1-22 Edward IV.
