London, printed for John Amery, 1677. 4to, First Eprrion, Cuaries II’s copy, contemporary red morocco, gilt iooled panel on sides, with the royal arms and the initials C.R. in gilt in the centre, gilt edges, rebacked, £9 Qs. The scene of this comedy is laid at Naples during the time of the Carnival; four years later (in 1681) the authoress wrote another comedy called “The Rover,” Part II, the scene of which is at Madrid.
