    In view of the considerable population now concerned the com¬ mittee have decided to reorganize the method of collecting subscrip¬ tions in Thames Ditton and Col. J. G. A. Wimberley has been appointed hon. assistant treasurer for that area. Mrs. Norman Clough and Mr. J. W. Pearce who have hitherto acted as hon. assistant treasurers are unable to spare the time needed for all the work that is contem¬ plated, and have therefore resigned, but they will join the other ladies and gentlemen named below in assisting Col. Wimberley. Mrs. Fairclough has resigned the position of hon. assistant treasurer for Claygate and Mrs. Gaselee has been appointed in her place. The Committee tender most sincere thanks to Mrs. Fairclough for her long and valuable service. There is a vacancy on the Committee in consequence of the resigna¬ tion of the Rev. J. R. Appleyard on leaving the district. Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Johnson, Miss Willis, Mrs. Trouncer and Mrs. Lambert retire from the Committee by rotation and being eligible offer themselves for re-election. Dr. Stewart Farquharson will be proposed for election to the Medical Staff. Pound Day was held in February as usual under the superinten¬ dence of Mrs. Wheeler and the House Committee, and a summary of the results will be found on a later page. The Committee tender sincere thanks for the subscriptions and collections specified in the attached lists, and desire to express particular appreciation of the support given by the Esher Allotment Holders’ Association. Mainly through the efforts of Mr. and Mrs. James Atkinson a wireless set has been installed with two loud speakers and nine pairs of ear ’phones. Hearty thanks are tendered to Mr. and Mrs. Atkinson for their assistance in obtaining this valuable addition to the Hospital amenities. Gifts in kind have included a wheel chair, a kaleidiscope, a dressing gown, books, cushions, linen, magazines, tickets for entertainments, plants for the garden, china, glass, groceries, mineral water, cordials, milk, butter, eggs, cakes, poultry, tea, toys, surgical appliances and nursing requisites, and for Christmas a turkey, champagne, game, poultry, fruit, jam, sweets, etc., crackers and evergreens. In case the fact should not be generally known the Committee venture to point out that gifts of linen (old or new) and letters for convalescent homes are most acceptable. Most sincere thanks are tendered to Miss Button for her able assist¬ ance. Subscriptions and Donations may be paid to the hon. treasurer, Mr. J. R.
