That mask, the existence of which had been entirely forgotten, was found amongst the lumber after Mr. Hunter’s death, and from it a bust, equally happy in execution, has been made. As if destined for immortality, that marble, as durable as the world, will present, to future generations, a correct likeness of John Hunter, by Chantry, of our day the Praxiteles.
