To the Chairman and Councillors of the Repton District Council, Gentlemen, I beg to present to you my First Annual Report of the health and sanitary condition of the Repton District for the year ending December 31st, 1895. As I was appointed at the latter end of April, there are some sanitary matters that were carried on at the earlier part of the year of which I have an imperfect knowledge ; but, as I have been sup¬ plied with copies of the District Registrar’s returns from the beginning of the year, I am enabled to complete the statistical tables for the Local Government Board, and to make an analysis of the births and deaths for the whole year.
