    A VALIANT FRIAR come on board us, our Captain commanded to fire a gun from our quarter-deck thwart their hawse. Then the Mailer came on board. She was a French vessel, and brought us the good news how that the Sapphire had forced Treguee, the Dey’s son of Algiers to run on shore, and had burnt his ship : it was done about Oran, and on Tuesday laft, March 4th. This was welcome news.
