The grand-Point, lately carried by the Common-Council, has lost the main-point . Or, a plain proof, that by forcing the late Lord-Mayor contrary to his Inclination (tho' he did it in Charity to the Orphans) to pass the act, to regulate the election of aldermen; yet it is contrary to the ancient rights of the citizens of London, the Scot and Lot men, who are unfreemen. By which the said Common-Council have Advanced the Whigs above the High-Church; And certainly lost their Designed Ends. In A Dialogue Betwixt A Whig-Alderman, and a Church-Common-Council-Man.
