They true God1 did not immediately renounce their Pride, and the Hatred they bore their Enemies : * They did not pardon the Injuries they had received ; mortify their Avarice ; break with their Miftreiies ; humbl themfelves inwardly bef re God, with real Grief for their Want of Virtue : They did not promife a Conver- lion of the Heart, a general Reformation of their Thoughts, their Words, and their Ac¬ tions.
