Itisundated, but was not printed after 1469 as there exists a copy in a contemporary binding which has that date impressed on the sides: “‘illi- gatus est apo d. 1469.” From the fact that it contains fewer letters than the famous edition printed by Sweynheim and Pannartz in 1468, which is generally asserted to be the editio princeps, it can, with much plausibility, be claimed as the first edition of the work. 256 Binptne.
