Description

This short recording claims to be the voice of Alfred Tennyson, poet. The poor quality of the recording (scarcely discernable as speech) could indicate that it is the great poet himself. However, the recording was acquired with other fake audio material. The recitation is repeated.

This sound recording purports to be a recording of Tennyson's voice; the 1/4" audio material has unknown provenance and came from the Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine. It is not contemporaneous with recordings made in 1880. The recording has been captured using audio enhancement technology (CEDAR-processed).
