![About the Authors EDWARD BADER and CAROLE SINCLAIR: Bader is Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He played a leading role in an extensive research project to investigate the effectiveness of premarital and neomarital programs for couples. He works closely with Carole Sinclair, his wife, who is a physician. TED W. BOWMAN is Family Development Director, Family and Children's Service, Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has played a leading part in helping the F amily Service Association of America to develop a national policy in the preventive field. DAVID and SARAH CATRON are both psychologists with particular focus in the family field. They have served together as Presidents of the Association of Couples for Marriage Enrichment. ANN ELLWOOD is Founder of MELD, a pioneering program for the preparation of husbands and wives for their first experience of parenthood. The program is supported by a number of foundations and is being established in various cities in the United States. BARBARA and ROBERT FISHMAN are both family therapists. Barbara is also a teacher and researcher; Robert is Executive Director of Resources for Human Development in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. THOMAS GORDON: Founder of the Parent Effectiveness Training Course, he is also the author of the well-known book of that title. He is nationally and internationally recognized as a leading authority in the field of parent-child and teacher-student relationships.
