    Pradice has extende ill Confequence. cure, it will at leaft Relief: nor has it POSTSCRIPT, Augujl io. \ r ^ j-jE Author of the preceding Obfervations^ j[ takes the Opportunity of this Edition to remark, fhat as Medicines of feemingly the fame Properties are fometimes found to ad: very dif-t ferently in different Conftitutions, the fame Circumftance may happen in the Ufe of the Garden and the Deadly Nightfhade : One o£ them may in particular Instances agree better and prove more effedual than the other. He defires likewife to obferve, that tho’he cannot pofitively fay there is any effential Difference in: the ufual Effeds of thefe two Plants, he is in¬ clined to think that the Garden Nightfhade may be rather milder in its Operation than the other j at leaft he would in general recommend the Trial of that firft. Up on the whole, if neither, after a few Trials of them,occafion any Encreafe- of the natural Evacuations, he would advife aJ Difcofltinuance of them, as a Perfeverance with; enlargedDofes under fuchCirgumftances, might in fome Conftitutions probably irritate too much; and as he imagines that little Good can be ex¬ pected from this Medicine, where it does not vifibly promote fome of the natural Difcharges of the Body. h The END.
