[*] receive the Reports of former ones, to infpeft Accounts, make fuch Rv-Laws and Rules as (hall be judged neeefiary for the good Govern¬ ment of this Charity, and to tranfadt fuch other Bufinefs as fhall be laid before them. # Among the By-Laws which the Governors in a General Court have conformable to their Charter agreed upon, the following ones are to be obferyed. , n „ The Anniverfary Feaft of this Charity is to be held between the tirlt of February and the laft Day of April* when a printed Account of the General State of the Hcfpital, the Number of Patients received and dit- charged, and an Abfirach: of the Accounts for the Year pall, is laid be¬ fore them. . Com- A Houfe Committee of thirteen Governors is appointed at every Ge¬ neral Quarterly Court, who at their firft Meeting eletf: a Chairman to preiide^for the Quarter ; who meet at the Hofpital, on Tuefdays weekly, at Eleven in the Forenoon, -to Receive and Difmifs Patients, to Order and Infpect the Provilions and Furniture fent in, and fuch NecefTaries that may be wanting, and to Examine and Regulate the Condudl of the Servants and Patients ; and other Matters which come before them, according to the Conftitution of this Charity. All Governors that pleafe to^attend, have a Vote at this Committee, and their Attendance ' will be efleemed a Favour. ^ . mmittet of A Committee of Accounts, confining of twelve Governors, is appoint¬ ed at the General Quarterly Court in June* for one Year, who meet at the Hofpital once a Quarter, to Examine, and Audit Tradefmens Bills, which are paid by the Treafurer within a Fortnight after,—The Accounts are open at all Times for the Infpetfion of the Governors. A Phyfical Committee, confiding of all fuch Governors who pradife Phytic, Surgery, or Pharmacy, or are converfant in the Knowledge of Drugs or Medicines (excepting fuch as (hall be direftly or indire&ly con¬ cerned in ferving the Hofpital with fuch NecefTaries) are fummoned to meet every firft Tuefday in the Month, and have Power to order and infpe& the necefTary Drugs and Medicines, and report their Proceedings to the General Quarterly Court by their Chairman. Two Governors, or more, are appointed Vifitorsby the Houfe Com¬ mittee, for one Fortnight, to attend twice a Week, or oftner, if they think proper, to infpedl into the Management and Conduct of the Houfe, during the Interval of the Meetings of the Houfe-Committee. A Clergyman of the Church of England preaches every Sunday, and reads Prayers Morning and Afternoon ; adminifters the Sacrament re¬ gularly every Month ; reads Prayers every Day in the Weeks and is ready to vilit, pray by, and adminifter the Sacrament at all Times when required, to the Patients in the Wards. hrflf an;, and Three Phyficians attend alternately s Two of the Surgeons daily, from Eleven o*Clock till One, without Fee or Reward, and give their Advice and Afhfiance to all fuch Obje&s as come within thofe Hours, whether Recommended or Accidental.
