![[ 2 7 ] with the huger, then I think it would be right to make the attempt with a female catheter, or fome inilrument of that kind, having a point much more curved or hook- like. In doing this, whilft I had one linger at the os inter- num, I would pafs the inlfrument up on one fide of the fymphyfis of the pubis, with the point towards the other fide ; and, when advanced as high in the pelvis as the os internum, infmuate the point into it ; and then, by pufhing the point downwards, and againll the mem- branes, rupture them, and fo difeharge the liquor amnii. After which the reduflion fhould immediately be fet about as .in general directed. These are fpeculative fuggeflions only thrown out for others of happier talents to improve upon.
