    [ 3° ] tune ihe told me, Hie had been labouring for many days under a difficulty of making water, attended with an un- common pain about the neck of the bladder ; that for the three or four laft days die could make little or none, nor could die have a dool without the abidance of V medicine, and concluded with faying that die had had a great deal of bearing-down pain in her body which hourly increafed. All this die fuppofed. was owing to her condition, being her firb pregnancy. % • From this information I concluded what the cafe was, and upon examination found the uterus* everted in the manner I have already defcribed. I therefore drew off die water, evacuated the reCtum, and fet about the re- duction exactly as I have generally directed. Sut I did not dud it an eafy tafk, as the force requi- dte to be employed was very great: however, at the third effort I fucceeded, and the uterus reverted into its natu- ral lituatioru.
