Adminiftration of the eftate of Walter Elton, late of Langdon [? Longden], co. Salop, iflued to Walter Elton, his fon, i6th March, 1648, P.C,C. P. 44, 1. 13. In the will of Thomas Harton of Kinlham, parifh of Bredon, CO. Wore., 14th September, proved 19th December, 1620, occurs: “Item I give and bequeath unto my kinfman, Edward Elton, of Ledburie in the Countie of Heref., all fuch books and goods as I have in a chamber of his called the Chappell chamber in his houfe in Ledburie aforefaid, except all fuch writings as doe belonge unto theftate of my land or leafes and acquittances and fpecialties belonging to myfelfe. And whereas the faid Edward doth owe unto me fower pounds fterlinge, as by his deed or bill bearing date the . . . day of. . . more plainelye may appeare, my mynde and will is that the faid Edward fhall give to his brother William Elton twentie fhillings, to his filler Anne Garners twentie fhillings, to his filler Margerye Bucknell twentie fhillings, and the other twentie fhillings to take to himfelf, and foe I acquitt him of the debt.” Anne Garners is clearly Anne, married to Thomas Gardner^ p, 44, 1. 12.
