It is satisfactory to report that this subject is receiving greatei attention by expectant mothers and midwives. 1,828 or i6.3 per of the expectant mothers were under the observation of the staff; this figure is slightly above the percentage for 1947, winch was nj.3 per cent. 58 new Expectant Mothers attended the Centres in addition to 54 on tile books at the end of last year; those requiring medical advice were referred to their own doctors, or they attended at the Clime.
