(i) Nursing: The General District Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors employed in the area are now attached to general practitioners. The telephone numbers of Midwives and District Nurses are listed in the telephone directory under 'Nurses - West Sussex County Council'. (j) School Clinics: Minor Ailments Eye Speech Therapy Dent al ) ) ) ) Littlehampton Health Clinic Expectant and nursing mothers may also receive free treatment at the Dental Clinics. Dental anaesthetics were given by a Consultant Anaesthetist from the Regional Hospital Board on a sessional basis. HOSPITAL AND SPECIALIST SERVICES: A comprehensive hospital and specialist service is provided by the Regional Hospital Board. Hospital accommodation of a private nature is available in certain circumstances, subject to appropriate charges. Cervical Cytology: Every Thursday morning a session is held at the Littlehampton Health Clinic for the early detection of cancer in the neck of the womb.
