Description
Wood cut illustration from an edition of 1724 (2nd year of the Yongzheng reign period of the Qing dynasty). showing the ways in which pathologies of the three foot Yang channels are manifested in the surface strata of the body; i.e. the foot taiyang channel is related to disorders of the skin, the foot yangming channel to disorders of the muscles, and the foot shaoyang channel to disorders of the 'semi-superficial, semi-internal' (banbiao banli) region.
