    my powder of fugar, and extract of Blue Wolfsbane, in an intermitting fever, and a moll inveterate Gonorrhoea, after having for a long time ufed all other remedies to no purpofe. George Hafenohrl, a very ingenious Phyfician in the Spanifh hofpital, gave his mad patients extradt of Thorn- Apple, which given to half a drachm, and even a whole drachm, in the fpace of twenty-four hours, never proved prejudicial, hut was obferved to produce great alterations for the better. But whether they will prove conffant, time alone will fhew, I have, however, laid out a field, which we are to la¬ bour and cultivate, in order to leffen, alleviate, and cure the diftempers, calamities, and racking tortures of pa¬ tients . I therefore, in the moil courteous manner, beg of all good Phyficians, that, with united efforts, they would pleafe to concur with my endeavours, and promote a work, which, it fhould feem, will prove fo falutary to the diforders of mankind.
