![Many, however, of this class have been completely restored in the course of years, and are now fulfilling the ordinary duties of life. As examples of the successful treatment of patients, even when life appeared to be fast ebbing on their admission, through obstinate abstinence, bad nursing, and bed sores when at home, mention may be made of cured patients who have been fed by the officers as many as 500 times each. The Commissioners in Lunacy officially visited the Asylum in July last, and have recorded, “ On our visit on Saturday and to-day we find the Asylum in its usual satisfactory condition; the great majority of the patients employed profitably as well to themselves as to the Institution, and the wards, offices, and outbuildings properly attended to.55 The remainder of the Report is of an equally favorable character. At the ensuing Easter Sessions Mr. Hill’s Annual Report will give the usual details and the financial statements.
