![11 May, 1559.—Item, onc inventory of all the goodes belongyng the said Ospytall this day exhibyd to be regystred in this boke, as hereafter followcth :— In prymys one mattres, one coverlctt, one pare of sheytes, of the gyfte of parson Bean.' Item one mattres, one covcrlett, and one parc of sheytes, of the gyft of sir Thomas Pykkeryng.J Item one coverlett, and a parc of sheites of sr Myles Walsheforth* gyft. Item one pare of sheites of Leonard Temple gyft. Item one coverlett of Mr. John Northe gyft. Item onc old pann of old stoare. Item old beddyng to serve thre beddes in the man^s howse. Item old beddyng to serve two beddes in the womeu;s howse.—All these parsells ar in the custody of the huswyfe. In the chappell.—In prymys one hare for the alter. Item one alter clothe, with a coveryng of bukeram. Item one fronte clothe, one frynge, one sylke codd, onc towell, one messe-boke, one sacryng bell, one chyfor, one vestment, with all the geare pertenyng to it. One newe torche. One chalyce w4 paten, pryce ls. vjd. Ordenyd,—that Henry Dykson shall have lycence, at the will of the m1' and bredren, to be one of the bead-folkes of this howse, accordyng to the aunsyent custome; and also he is lycensyd, at lyke wyll, to ly in the preyst chambre, as it may convenyently be sparyd. 5 Feb., 1559-60.—It is presently ordeyned and aggreed,— that the spirituel bretherne of this hospitall shall monethly, by course, mynistre to the poore of this hospitall ecclesiasticall service. in parchement, a grene vestenient of silke with a red crosse and a pax wiche is is in my ambre at Crux churche, yf there be a preist to ministre withall at Sanct Thomas Hous.—To Crux churche a vestement of grene sarcenet, having a crosse of red velvett, and a messall of parchement.—I bequeathe to sir Michaell Pinder all my bookes not bequeathed, saving that my brether of Peaseholme shall take one wiche thay like best, to continew in the bouse emonges thaym.—I bequeathe to the reparacions of the churche of Alballowes, in Peaseholme, vjs. viijd., a stall in the churche ther, a cope beyng in the churche ther, and a superalterye, so that the parishioners ther deliver a stone called a throwghe stone to sir William Kirkebye, suche one as he will take, or els agre with him; and yf thay will nott thus doo, this legacie to be void.—To sir Michaell Piuder one chist, and all the paynted clothes hangyng in the parlour where I do lye.— To the parsone of Peaseholme my surples wiche he hayth in his custody now.— To Sanct Thomas House a corprax with the case, a pixide or a box for the sacra- ment there, and a clothe to hang over the same [Pro. 22nd September, 1558] (Reg.
