' Probably Edmund de la Pole, esq., and Alice his wife, daughter and heiress of John de Braithwaite, lord niayor of Tork in 1393, and widow of John de Eaghton, bailiff in 1394-5. He was a younger son of Sir John de la Pole, of Newborough, knight, by Cecily, sister and heir of Sir Wm. de Wakebridge. In his will, dated at Tork 8th August, 1445 [Pro. 15th March, 1447-8], he desires to be buried in the church of St. Martin in Conyngstrete, sub petra marmorea ubi sepultus fuit Johannes Brathewayt (Test. Blor., ii., 126). By her charter, dated 24th July, 1449, Alice de la Pole, of Tork, widow, founded an obit in the above church, for the souls of her father, John Brathwaite, Marione, his wife, JohnEaghton, former husband of the said Alice, Edmund de la Pole, her late husband, John Baghton, her son, and for the soul of her, the said Alice, after her decease (Corporation Eecords, B. y., 110). Alice de la Pole died in 1452. ' The will of Thomas Pole, of Tork, tapeter, was proved 24th Novernber, 1457, and administration granted to Alice, his widow {Test. Ebor., ii., 127 n). _ Thomas Kirke, mercer, chamberlain in 1430, sheriff in 1432-3, lord mayor in 1441, constable of the Merchants' Company in 1432, and master from 1436 to 1441. Died 9th April, 1442, and was buried in the church of the Holy Tnmty in Curia Eegis. His widow Alice died in 1446. _ William Barton, tanner, chamberlain in 1432, died in 1435, and was buried m the Minster. Henry Markett, merchant, free in 1412, chamberlain in 1437, and sheriff m 1442-3.
