The title has been taken from wording on the object.
The 'Waterfall' painting is one of a series of oil on board preparatory sketches, made 1992 or 1993, towards a series of large 'waterfalls', one on each level overlooking the atrium of the then-new Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Ownership note

Gift from the artist to the Manchester Metropolitan University Arts for Health archive. Acquired by Wellcome Collection as part of the ART/AFH archive in 2015.
