Description

This programme, part 1 of 2 which were broadcasted on consecutive nights looks at people with common sleep disorders: Sian Williams presents five case stories of the most common sleep disorders. Two of the UK's leading sleep experts (Kirstie Anderson; neurologist and Jason Ellis; psychologist) using a mobile monitoring van (an Airstream winnebego) try to come up with solutions for the five sleep deprived people. The volunteers are monitored using night vision photography. A small amount of archival sleep clinic footage is shown. After being studied in their own homes, the patients are invited into the sleep house to investigate their problems further. One man, a lorry driver, discovers he has sleep apnea which puts his livelihood in jeopardy.
