'I'lie fibres of (io/l'x coliniiii are nearly always degenerated. The .;o//e.v of IJxxdiH-r—the fine fibres which form a cap to the extremity of the jjosterior horn, extending a short distance along the external and internal borders of it—degenerate and disappear in the early stages of tabes.
