But it is faid to have been employed by the late Mr.- Pott, and is at this time adopted in the practice of feveral eminent furgeons, who find it a bene- ficial application to fcrofulous indurations in particular. The wax plafter and lard being melted and fuffered to become nearly cold, the powdered flies are afterwards to be added. The inten- tion of this plafter is univerially known.
