It is doubtful whether the calomel has any fhare in the good effe&s produced by this remedy, but the mucilage is a loothing and ufeful application to the urethra, when inflamed and irritated by the venereal difeharge. At St. Bartholomew’s Hofpital an injeftion of calomel and mucilage of gum ara- bic, in the proportions here Rated, is employed. INJECTIO CERUSSrE COMPOSITA. R Pulveris ceruflac compofiti ferup. j. Zinci vitriolati gran. vj. Aquas rofae unc. iv. mifee. This is one of the formulae of Mr. Clare, who confidered it a very fuitable injeflion in the inflammatory Rage of a gonorrhoea. INJECTIO COPAIB/E. R Balfami copaibas drach. ij. Mucilaginis arabici gummi unc. fs. Aquae calcis unc. iv. mifee. This is an aflringent inje&ion, and proper in gleets, and in the latter flage of gonorrhoea. It is alfo a beneficial remedy in the fluor albus. INJECTIO CUPRI ACETATI. .
