(L) R Aqua: ammoniac purac unc. j. Olei olivae unc. ij. mifee. This differs from the foregoing in no refpeff, but in point of flrength. LINIMENTUM AMMONI/E OPIATUM. R Opii purificati unc. ifs. Spiritus vinofi tenuioris lib. j. Aqua: ammonia: purae unc. ij. Thefe ingredients are to be digefled together in a gentle heat till the opium is diffolved. This is a valuable remedy in rigid and painful fwellings of the articulations. LINIMENTUM BITUMINIS AMMONIA- TUM. R Petrolei barbadenfis unc. ifs. Aqua: ammonia pura: unc. fs. mifee. This is a remedy employed by Dr. Kirk- land in difeales of the hip and other joints.
