AmTSSetwy . , .. ,,, . . pi*! of State to revise that the revised General Rules ol the Asylum were Rules obtained J 29th Jany., 1881. then before the Commissioners in Lunacy; the approval thereof by Her Majesty’s Secretary of State for the Home Department was obtained on the 29th of January last. The Rules and Regulations to be observed by printedSana d£- the Attendants and Servants of the Asylum weretllbuted' revised and settled by your Committee in April last, and both the General Rules and the Regulations have since been printed and distributed. Since the Rules were printed, viz., on the 29th RuleA^jtc;eonsai1i] of August last, your Committee have made the follow- Eules pimtcd‘ ing additional Rule: ct That an entry be made on the Register of Discharges, Removals, and Deaths, as to the destination of any Corpse. A Sub-Committee has been appointed to superintend and manage the land under cultivation at the Asylum, and the Chairman and Captain Catling, Mr. Hicks, Mr. Townley, and Mr. Death were appointed on the 31st of October last to act as such Sub-Committee. Your Committee regret to have to report the death, on the 1st of June last, of Joseph Cheverton, who had been Porter of the Asylum from the opening of the present building in 1858, and who had through¬ out his service faithfully discharged the duties of his office, greatly assisting also in the amusements Death of Josh.
