(d) Adulteration of Food.—Two informal samples of milk were taken and also the following formal samples: milk 31, butter 8, lard 1, cream 1, vinegar 1. One of the formal samples of milk was reported as being not genuine. Of the samples of milk and other foods taken none were found to contain preservative. (e) Chemical and Bacteriological Examination of Food. There are no laboratories in the Borough undertaking examinations of food. Samples for chemical analysis are sent to Southern Counties Laboratories, Old Library House, Bournemouth ; while bacteriological examinations are carried out at — (1) The Clinical Research Association, Watergate House, London. (2) The Pathological Department, Royal Cornwall Infirmary, Truro.
