He seems however impressed with the positive conviction that every creature who has been Vac- cinated is at present infected with scrophula ; and must in a short time contract the Small-pox. - To remedy these two calamities, he advises in the first place, that they should all be inoculated with Small-pox matter; and if this fails to communi- cate the Small-pox, he counsels that they should next be put under a mild course of mercury from three to five weeks. ‘They are then to be inocu- lated asecond time.
