Seven of the mentalb' detichent c'hildren were reported tc! the Mental neficn’encw Act C'ommittee as being incapable of receiving benelit from instruction in a Special School. In six c'ases the* parents were* unwilling to allow their children to be sent awa^^ from home. Fhe Ifducation Authority sectired places in instittitions for f(>tir defecti\’e children as follc!ws : — 1 mentalK' defective girl to Knotty Ash, rdverpool. 1 epileptic girl to the Maghtdl Hc^me, near Liverpool. 2 deaf and dumb l)oys to the Derby School for the Blind.
