The particular branches of feience which I have endeavoured to explain, are thofe of the Mechanica] powers, Eleéiricity, Pneumatics, Hydroftatics and Hydraulics, Optics, Afironomy ; Clock-making, the nature, ufe, and confiruttion of the Barometer, and the confirustion of optical ana many philofophical In- firuments; all which I flatter my felf, fiudents in thefe branches will find to be exatt, whether they are confult- ed with a view to theory or prattice.
