![[94] that celebrated Drug is found to fucceed. It is beneficial in feveral Diftempers of the Head ; and isa Prefervative againft Epilepfies, Apo- plexies, Palfies, and Rheumy Defluxions. It may be given from ten to thirty Drops in any fuitable Liquid, once, twice, or thrice a day, obferving to take it when the Stomach is moft _ empty; as in the Morning fafting, a little be- fore Dinner, and in the Afternoon. Putvis EpiLepricus. PowDeER for an EpImLePsy. Take two Scruples of Wild Valerian Root in: Powder ; and a Scruple of Cinnabar of An- timony. Mix. The warm and aromatic Qualities of the Va- lerian Root render it ufeful in many Intentions.. Its Efficacy, as a Sudorific, is fupported by the “Teftimony both -of the antient and prefent Practice. This Root is alfo deterfive, and di- uretic, and good in all Obftru€tions of the Vif- cera. In Hyfterical and Convulfive Cafes, where the Spirits are hurried on with great Im- petuofity, it will fometimes do wonders.
