Engraved front. A typical Jesuit production by the preacher to the Court of Bavaria, described as one of the most elegant 17th century -Latin poets. It is a long poem written in hexameters, praising fat men & condemning thin men. There are many gastronomic details. Heretics are of course dragged in. Most, e.g., Calvin & Melanchthon were as lean as possible. Luther unluckily was fat. On the day of the last judgment, according to this poet, the quarrel between the fat & the thin will be resolved, for God will correct both excessive fatness & excessive thinness.
