Seventeen houses were inspected in connection with applications for improvement grants and twenty-eight visits were made for the purpose. During the year grants were made for improvements at six houses., the total grants amounting to £1,125. R1NT ACT. 1957. Pour visits were made where the tenants had requested information concerning certificates of disrepair. One application for a certificate of disrepair was received, but this was not issued as the owner gave an undertaking to carry out the repairs. Three certificates of disrepair, relating to applications made in 1957? were issued during the year.
