Other Arguments maybe drawn, eadii of which would be a Demonftration of the! Neceffity of a Communication between thct immediate Organ of Sight, and thofe Nerves tha,t give Movement to the Iris ; Such as, that painful Senfation which arifes from, Light in fome of its Difeafes, by which we | find, that the Pupil is always much more contradled than we obferve it to be in a healthful Eye in the fame Degrees of Light % and that in Proportion to this Pain, the ,.4. * Contradfion is greater, and that in fuch Ca-* fes, the Patient has no Power to dilate the Pupil in any Degree of Light, lefs than the ordinary.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b3078105x_0014.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
