INFANT LIFJ7 FKOTECTION At the end of the year the names of 05 children were entered on the register in accordance with tlie i)rovisions of Section 05 of the Children and Yonng Persons Act, 1082, as having been taken by persons to keej) for reward. 12 children were in St. Faith's Home, 19 in Christ Church Home, 8 in All Saints’ Home, ami 20 in charge of foster parents at private dwellings. The Health Nurses paid 28 first visits and 878 revisits to these children. OTHEE PEOVISION MADE BY THE LOCAL AUTHOEITY Cases dealt with at Maternity Hospital.—During the year 8 cases were admitted into the IMaterihty Hospital under the terms of the agreement; the number of bed days being 109. Cases dealt with by the Birkenhead District Nursing Society.— During the year the Society’s nurses paid 918 visits to 48 cases, under the agreement between the Society and the Corporation.
