![STATISTICAL REPORT FOR 1877. —— SUMMARY. During the year, twelve hundred and eighty-two (1282) patients have been admitted. At the date of last report, one hundred and five (105) patients were in the Hospital; making the total number treated during the year, thirteen hundred and eighty-seven (1387). Of these twelve hundred and seventy-nine (1279) were discharged; 800 being cured, 389 im- proved, 19 unimproved, and 72 having died, leaving 108 under treatment, of whom 57 were medical and 51 surgical, or seventy-three (73) men, thirty-one (31) women and four (4) children, in the wards at the end of year. There have been twelve thousand two hun- dred and twenty-nine (12,229) dispensary patients prescribed for during the year. Of this number, eight thousand two hundred and eighteen (8,218) were medical, and four thousand and eleven (4,011) were surgical cases, making an increase of 1,175 cases over those of the previous year.
